Man Who Hates Fun
This comic is based on the comics work of Jack T. Chick, natcherly–this one in particular. I think I did basically okay at it. I like how he crosshatches the Lake of Fire. If you haven’t read the complete works of Jack T. Chick many times over, get to it!
This is a weird, seldom-seen oddity from the archives, during the long hiatus when I was trying to figure out how best to go back to the strip, with the intention of focusing on Elvira as a teacher in some kind of long and separate plotline. Kind of a hybrid between the Milton Frogman comic idea I was doing at the time and what eventually ended up coming to pass, which is a much shorter version of the Elvira-as-a-teacher plot I had in mind. Elvira’s blond hair is weird to me now — I had some idea that she was planning to dye it as a kind of depressingly localized version of the major life changes spoken of here.
