News for 20081104

This comic is based on the comics work of Jack T. Chick, natcherly--this one in particular. I think I did basically okay at it. I like how he crosshatches the Lake of Fire. If you haven't read the complete works of Jack T. Chick many times over, get to it!

I put up a buzzcomix voting button again; it is over on the right there, or you can click here if you are into voting. I had forgotten that I was putting up Radio KAOS strips one at a time over there--unfortunately I don't know where the KAOS archive is right now (it's somewhere in my apartment) so I can't really continue that for the time being, if you were, um, really into Radio KAOS or something.

Two notes about the World My Publisher system:

- I'm working a week in advance at this point to keep everything on-time and regular. Whatever cash is in on Monday, that's how many strips I'll work up starting the following Monday. I'll let everyone know the update schedule a week in advance as well. In other words, right now there's going to be one strip for the week of November 14: donations will boost the number of strips for that week. You see how this is.

- I'm setting up a subscription service so you can auto-pay every month for a certain number of strips per week or per month. I need to mess with the financial stuff for this a little bit more. Be warned.

Also, you should look at this, and you should also be careful that this does not happen to you.

The Story So Far

Elvira Ellison is a young teacher working in New York City. Her old friend and one-time sexual partner, The Man Who Hates Fun, had been working as the janitor at her school, acting as a confidant to young student Milton Frogman. After the MWHF's apparent death due to hunger, Elvira Ellison was named the executor of his will. Upon looking through the MWHF's apartment, she was "zapped" by his manuscript, a book on modern Stoicism, which perfectly embodies his thoughts and ideas to the point that it is able to resurrect his soul from beyond the veil of death. The MWHF, now possessing Elvira's body in a way that is perhaps irreversible, is attempting to publish his haunted book.
